dtv-scan-tables software package provides Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) initial scan files, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dtv-scan-tables
dtv-scan-tables is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dtv-scan-tables package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dtv-scan-tables *
You will get with dtv-scan-tables package name, version, architecture and description in a table
